Objecting to the Church

Lutero said:
No. I described Jesus.

You described the Sacraments which Jesus Christ instituted.

Jesus Christ is not a Roman Church ritual.
I didn't say He was.  But
Jesus Christ established rituals which you are to obey.

If the Roman Church knew Jesus Christ, it's members would KNOW that they were saved.

Read the Scripture:
1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

But the Roman Church doesn't preach Jesus Christ, it preaches the Roman Church.
The Catholic Church teaches the Traditions passed down by Jesus Christ.  Just as Christ commanded:

Matthew 28:19-20
King James Version (KJV)
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

And Scripture admonishes you to hold:
2 Thessalonians 2:15
King James Version (KJV)
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Scripture tells you to obey the Church:

Matthew 18:17

King James Version (KJV)
17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
And so you think you can only be saved by the Roman Church.
I know that I can't be saved by those who oppose Christ. Those who oppose the Church, oppose Christ.

Luke 10:16

King James Version (KJV)
16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
And the Roman Church is a harsh mistress,
That is nowhere near the truth.  It is the Catholic Church which first began to teach the loving commands of Jesus Christ and does so to this day.

who shuts off the kingdom of heaven from its members,
On the contrary, it is those who follow the Teachings of the Church who will enter heaven first and sit on Judgement seats, judging even the angels:
1 Corinthians 6:2-4
King James Version (KJV)
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?  3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?  4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
who ties heavy burdens and lays them on your backs, and will not even lift a finger to move them.
Not so.  The works of God have never been burdensome.  Unless you find it burdensome to love your neighbor.
They do all their deeds to be noticed by men, they broaden their mitres, they lengthen the tassels on their garments, they love the place of honor at gatherings and the chief seats in the government offices, and respectful greetings and being called Father by men."
On the contrary, it is Protestants who are modern day Pharisees, tying heavy bundles, hard to carry. Blocking the doorway to salvation, neither entering in nor permitting others to do so.  It is Protestants who stand on street corners proclaiming themselves saved and everyone else condemned.

This is a description of the Protestants:

Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd, His yoke is easy and his burden light. The Good Shepherd lays His life down for the sheep. His sheep know His voice and He calls His own sheep by name. He goes ahead of us and His sheep follow Him because they know HIS voice, and a stranger they simply will not follow. We abide in Him and He abides in us. He will never forsake us. Each day He feeds us our daily bread. He ever lives to intercede for us and His blood has cleansed us from all our sins. He prepares a table for us in the middle of our enemies. He guides us to green pastures and beside the still waters. He is our refuge, our hiding place, our very strong help in times of trouble. Though we stumble, we will not fall He holds us up with His hand. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

That is true.  And He guides us through His Church which is the Pillar of Truth (1 Tim 3:15):
Ephesians 3:10
King James Version (KJV)
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Sincerely,

De Maria
