On Thursday mornings, beginning August 29th, 2013, in English; on Tuesday mornings, beginning September 3rd, 2013, in Spanish; and on Tuesday evenings, beginningSeptember 3rd, 2013, also in English: Genesis to Jesus, the foundational study of the St. Paul Center's Journey Through Scripture parish-based Bible study programs is being presented in Houston, Texas.
Journey Through Scripture is a dynamic, parish-based Bible study series incorporating live presentation, multimedia, small group discussion and some outside reading. It’s a way for ordinary Catholics to grow in their knowledge of the Scriptures and deepen their understanding of the riches of the Catholic faith.
The Holy Father regularly quotes St. Jerome's famous dictum that ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ. If you've ever wondered what the Bible is all about but didn't know where to start, "Genesis to Jesus" is for you. It looks at all of the covenants that God made with his people through figures such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and David. And it shows how each of these covenants points forward to, and is fulfilled by, Christ and his Church.

Three 'Genesis to Jesus' studies will be presented at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church (11507 Huffmeister Road ~ Houston, TX 77065) in the Office Building, Room 201:
- Thursday mornings at 10:00AM, beginning August 29th, 2013, in English
- Tuesday mornings at 10:00AM, beginning September 3rd, 2013, in Spanish
- Tuesday evenings at 7:00PM, beginning September 3rd, 2013, also in English
There are seven lessons and they run consecutively so please try and make the first session to receive your participant course materials.
Registration is $25, and includes course materials in either English or Spanish. Registration and books will be issued August 27th, 2013 in Christ the Redeemer Church, Office Building, Room 201 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM and from7:00PM - 8:00PM, or you may print a form at www.ctrcc.com and mail to Christ the Redeemer, Attn: Deacon Jack.
