A slap in God's face

Lutero:

Wow, who saves? GOD...

You do not accept anything of God....you think you are working your way to heaven, saving yourself....a slap in the face to the one who shed His blood to redeem man.
On the contrary, Scripture says:
1 Timothy 4:10

King James Version (KJV)

10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

It is because we trust in God that we labour for our salvation. It is a slap in God's face that you should say, "I won't do it."

Hebrews 5:9

King James Version (KJV)

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

It is a slap in God's face that you claim to judge yourself saved:
Romans 14:10

King James Version (KJV)

10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

It is a slap in God's face that you claim you are justified by faith alone:
James 2:24

King James Version (KJV)

24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

It is a slap in God's face that you disobey those whom He put over you to rule over your soul:
Hebrews 13:17

King James Version (KJV)

17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

It is a slap in God's face that you reject the Body and Blood of our Lord in the Holy Eucharist:
Hebrews 10:25-31

King James Version (KJV)

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Sincerely,

De Maria
