We are saved by faith (trust in the living God) and works

Lutero:
Twisting Scripture to your own destruction....that's all you are able to do....

10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11 These things command and teach.
Where does that say we shouldn't attempt to save ourselves? In fact it says:

For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach,

There is nothing there about not attempting to save ourselves.
Nothing there about faith alone.

In fact, it is an explicitly Catholic Teaching. We are saved by faith (trust in the living God) and works (For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach,

Yes, it is there.
You teach that you judge yourself saved by your faith alone. That is the Protestant teaching which they hold over everyone who says, "I don't know if I'm saved. I hope in God." And yet, there is no instance in Scripture which gives you the right to usurp God's judgement:

Romans 14:10

King James Version (KJV)

10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Wrong....Jesus is our judge.
then why do you all claim to know you are saved?

Sincerely,

De Maria
