In other words, faith alone is dead.
Cathy: Amen! Not only does St. Paul never say faith alone, but he also says of the three theological virtues, charity is the greatest; not faith.
"And now there remain faith, hope, and charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity." (1 Cor 13:13)
The reason why Protestants invented their doctrine of "faith alone" is because they want a Christianity without the cross.
Another thing which he said is this:
1 Corinthians 13:2 King James Version (KJV)2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
In other words, faith alone is dead.
Galatians 5:6 King James Version (KJV)6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
