And we must keep the Ten Commandments

AND, and, the Law was given to show us just how far short will fall of God's Perfection and to lead us to the Saviour. The Law shows us we cannot save ourselves or even have a part in that salvation except to believe the Messiah and accept HIS PROVISION which was HIS death on the cross for our sin and HIS rising from the dead for our justification. GOD never ever intended man to save himself, because GOD knows we can't.

And we must keep the Ten Commandments in order to be saved by God:
1 John 2:2-4

King James Version (KJV)
² And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
³ And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
⁴ He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
