DIS:I think you're right. Too bad that most won't get off of that wheel and accept the gift God has provided.

It is we who have accepted His gift and Protestants who have rejected it:
Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in thename of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

It is sad to see that Jesus gave us such a wonderful gift at His death...to have our sins covered by His blood...to approach the throne room of grace boldly...to be SAVED by Him...and look at this. Completely ignored and back to OT works and law.

You are mistaken. We, Catholics, are they who are saved by His Blood:
1 Corinthians 10:16
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

It is those who deny His Sacraments, ironically that means the Protestants, who will be saved according to your works. It is in the Sacraments that we present ourselves before God believing in His promises, by faith apart from our works. That does not mean by faith "alone". That means that those who keep the Law present ourselves before God to be justified in accordance to our faith:
Romans 2:13

I wonder sometimes if the Lord just doesn't want to bang His head against the wall...(no disrespect to the Lord intended)

Yeah. It started when Luther broke away from the True Church and has become continually worse to this day.
