HR said:Not correct. What we dont understand is why Catholics prefer dogma created centuries later as preferable to the intent of the apostles agreed upon by protestant experts and Catholic experts alike.
Because that isn't true. That is a false statement. It is Protestants who prefer doctrines created 1500 years later to the teachings of Christ.
We dont understand why you prefer dogma that does not consider the original intent of the apostles.
That is another false statement. It is Catholics who understand the true intent of the Apostles whereas Protestants impose the intent of Luther.
That simply makes no sense to us yet that is the fact regarding RCC dogma.
It doesn't make sense because it isn't true.
Here is Fr Raymond Brown to explain:
"The Roman Catholic church has rarely, if ever, defined what a text meant
to the person who wrote it.The church encourages interpreters of Scripture
to discover with all the sholarly means available to them what individual
passages meant when they were written and encourages all its members to
read the Bible for spiritual nourishment. Church interpretation for Catholics
deals primarily, not with what the biblical text meant when it was written,
but with what it means for the life of the Christian community in
subsequant eras."

Yes, we know you dont like him.
It is you who don't like him. You keep stressing things that you want to believe but ignoring things you don't want anyone to see. You do the same with the writings of the Popes. Did you not read this statement?
The church encourages interpreters of Scripture
to discover with all the sholarly means available to them what individual
passages meant when they were written and encourages all its members to
read the Bible for spiritual nourishment.
You want us to believe your opinions rather than the world wide reknown expert on the bible.
We rely upon the Word of God. And the Word of God tells us to rely upon the Church:
Ephesians 3:10
King James Version (KJV)
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Fr. Raymond Brown is a wonderful scholar, but he is not infallible. God's Church is infallible.
Then you wonder why we dont understand how you think?
We wonder why you don't understand that which is plainly written in front of you. We wonder how you can, in good conscience, claim all those bizarre things that you impose upon the authors which you claim to be using as references. That is what we wonder. And I've noticed that it is not just Catholics who wonder about your claims. It is also Protestants who have remarked about this.
Sincerely,
De Maria
