On the contrary, Catholic doctrine is the basis of Scripture.

But, let us try to get back to the OP. I know that none of you want to address it. But here it is again. If you are saved by your faith alone, then what part does God play?

Scripture says:
1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

Yet all of you unashamedly proclaim that you have merited salvation because of your faith alone without awaiting God's Judgement.

Christ does not do the same for folks "IN" the RCC, but rather for those who come OUT.
It is quite simple Lutero, for you and those who deny the Sacraments, you must live according to the Commandments and await the Judgement in order to be saved. It is clear in Scripture:
Romans 2:13
(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall bejustified.

Revelation 22:13-15

King James Version (KJV)

13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

But those who accept the Sacraments, such as Catholics and Orthodox, we are saved by the mercy of God, in the here and now:
Hebrews 12:22-24

King James Version (KJV)

22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

If truth be told, there really isn't any such thing as a Catholic who "just" has faith in the cross-work of Christ as you suggest, since no such "animal" has ever existed, or ever will exist.
It is the opposite, as Scripture proclaims. Those who simply proclaim their faith and salvation without demonstrating their faith in God by their works, they are the ones who have treated the Sacrifice of Jesus as an unworthy thing:
HEB 10:
28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

As has been repeatedly shown on this site, Catholicism is always Jesus plus something else; hence, it is a false gospel (2 Cor 11:4).
As has been repeatedly shown by Catholics on this site. The Catholic Church teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 2:21
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us anexample, that ye should follow his steps:

But now maybe we can get back to the topic you tried to derail. Have you earned your salvation by your faith ALONE? Scripture will differ with you on that idea:

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.Unless you do the will of God and keep His Commandments, God will not save you. That is the consistent teaching of Scripture. In contradiction of Scripture, you claim that you will save yourself by your faith ALONE. Because, your logic is clear, you declare yourself deserving of heaven based upon your claim of faith ALONE.

Sincerely,

De Maria
