Restitution for sins

Lutero:
None of the gospel deals with making restitution for sins.
That is precisely what it deals with. There is a biblical principle which you reject, we must expiate our sins. Whether in this life, or the next:

1 Peter 3:17-19

King James Version (KJV)

17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

First he says, "you must suffer". Then he says "because Christ also suffered for sins". We suffer for our sins because Christ suffered for our sins. In another place, St. Peter says it again:

1 Peter 4:1

King James Version (KJV)

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Therefore, if we suffer in the flesh, we cease from sin.

Therefore also, suffering in the flesh is one way of making restitution for sin. It is a sacrifice. But there is another kind of sacrifice which we can make for our sins. Sacrificing our material goods for the Church and the good of others:

Mark 12:43

King James Version (KJV)

43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

She put in far less money than the Pharisees. But she tossed in all she had and lo, all was clean for her because she had stored her treasure in heaven:

Matthew 19:21

King James Version (KJV)

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Yeah, you folks don't like the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and you continually make up another.

Sincerely,

De Maria
