Where does the RC church gets its authority for ongoing revelation?

It seems most RC's believe There is a pipeline from God to the pope..where are we told that there is ongoing prophecy or revelations

It is Protestants who have added to the Word of God. The Catholic Church passes down the teaching of the Apostles.
