The theory of evolution proves the existence of God
If it is proved true, the theory of evolution and the theory of abiogenesis proves the existence of God.
1. The theory of Abiogenesis conforms quite well to the Biblical account.
Abiogenesis postulates that life came from nonliving matter. The Bible says that God brought life from nonliving matter.
2. The theory of evolution conforms quite well to the Biblical account.
A. Evolution says that life started in the oceans. The Bible says that God brought life first in the oceans.
B. Evolution says that spread from the oceans to the land. The Bible says that God brought life first in the oceans and then the land.
3. Evidence for the theory of evolution reveals that evolution is directed by changes in the gene code.
The gene code is essentially a complex language which directs the changes in living matter by changes in the gene sequence. Even the simplest of living organisms contains a messaging system which dwarfs the capacity of a modern super computer. In our world, messages and languages are only produced by intelligent beings. The gene code is evidence that only an intelligent being could have created such a process.
Sincerely,
De Maria

Naturally, I disagree with your baseless opinion on this.
ReplyDeleteScience can't prove anything. However, science + logic can show beyond reasonable doubt that God, as commonly understood (and there's a can of worms!) doesn't exist. How? Well, a being as immensely powerful and complex as God is reputed to be, who has intervened in the world as often as he is reputed to have done, should have left overwhelming evidence for his existence. But there is none. The rational conclusion is that God doesn't exist. The only other explanation is that God has gone to extreme measures to leave no tracks. But such an "explanation" is no more than special pleading, so ultimately worthless.
In any case, theists have protected God from being disproven as far as possible, ever since science started to knock big chunks out of biblical canon. Now God has been made unfalsifiable-in-principle, rendering him undisprovable; but also rendering the entire hypothesis worthless. No flavour of philosophy or science can disprove him, but none can prove him either. So it's slightly disingenuous to state, "science... can neither prove nor disprove God," because nor can any other pursuit. All you're left with is opinion. And yours is no more or less valid than mine.

He did.
1. the universe
2. the complexity of life.
3. the Catholic Church
3a. the Scriptures.

You don't even have to look at everything. Just look at your hand. Do you really think that chaotic forces lined up for one second to make something as complex as a human hand?

That depends on whether or not you accept evidence. The evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of God's existence. The only thing that atheists do is deny and reject the evidence. But denial and rejection of evidence is not evidence in itself.
As the saying goes, the truth is true whether you believe it or not.
Hi De Maria,
ReplyDeleteYou might find this book on Noah's Flood to be interesting:

I am currently reading it...and thought perchance that you might find it edifying if you chose to purchase a copy.
