Speak for yourself.

Lutero
Speak for yourself. We are not a we in a collective sense. I do not believe or claim CHRISTIANS are saved by works oth YOU CLAIM Roman Catholics are saved by your works, and you just proved it by quoting a verse out of context.
There you go again. No we don't. The Catholic Church teaches that GOD SAVES those who demonstrate their faith in good works.

If you have NEVER done a study of Romans 1 - 8, I suggest you do that before you continue on in your LIES about CHRISTIANS. The apostle Paul goes to great lengths to prove that we cannot save ourselves and there is NO WORK one can do to earn/merit eternal life.
It is you who doesn't understand the teaching of St. Paul. It is very simple for those who can discern the spiritual meaning of the Word:
Romans 2:7King James Version (KJV)
7To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Romans 2:13

King James Version (KJV)

13(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Romans 3:31

King James Version (KJV)

31Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Salvation comes by faith in CHRIST and what HE did on the cross in our place. Salvation is not deserved, earned or merited in any way shape or form, IT IS A GIFT of GOD upon belief and trust in HIS SON.
A gift bestowed upon those who love Christ:
John 14:21

King James Version (KJV)

21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

A gift bestowed upon those who obey Christ:
Hebrews 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them thatobey him;

A gift bestowed upon those who keep the Commandments:
Revelation 22:14

King James Version (KJV)

14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

If the gift of salvation were absolutely free, even the Iscariot would be saved. But God didn't come to save unrepentant sinners. He came to call sinners to repentance in order that they might then be saved:
Matthew 9:13

King James Version (KJV)

13But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Revelation 14:12

King James Version (KJV)

12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

I feel real sorry for you that you have to lie about what we CHRISTIANS believe, and cannot see the error of your ways.
Don't feel sorry for me. It is you who needs to conform to the teachings of Jesus Christ. If you think that you can do whatever you like and that you need not repent but can simply save yourself by a claim of faithfulness to Christ, you will be in for a surprise:
Matthew 7:20-22

King James Version (KJV)

20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

If one lies one time, what does that make them?
A liar. And if a liar keeps on lying and does not repent of it, what does that make them? Therefore, quit lying about the teachings of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church teaches us to express our faith in Christ by works of love and charity. This is the Scriptural message which you reject:
Galatians 5:6

King James Version (KJV)

6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Sincerely,

De Maria
