Yes. I must turn to God and keep the Commandments.John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.And I must be baptized:
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And I must persist in well doing until I die:

“Do you know what you must do to be saved?”

Salvation IS a process. Always was and always will be.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't come by simply believing in Jesus Christ. It doesn't come by simply accepting Jesus into your heart. It doesn't come by a simple "magical" effect of a sinner's prayer (that is no where found in Scripture). And it is not an "either/or" salvation.
To believe in such simplicity of Salvation nullifies and erases the whole purpose of the Commandments and Sacraments that Our Lord and Savior instituted.
I have a very hard time understanding, why they don't see, that in claiming themselves to be saved, they are exalting themselves and usurping God's right to judge their souls. Just saying, "I believe" is not enough.
Delete2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Well, it's like I said one other time; some protest-ants desire the "instant gratification" of salvation. What faster and easier way to Salvation than to simply believe?
DeleteWhat really bothers me about certain groups of protest-ants, is their open practice of judging others based on what they themselves, have read and self-interpretted in the Scriptures. That's going on right now over at Catholic Answers on several forums. There are two in particular that are posting, that make me even wonder how they can consider themselves "Christians" when you read the very blasphemous, grotesque, and down right raunchy words they are using in attacking Our Faith.

Except that this specifically contradicts the Scripture in which they claim to believe:
James 2:118 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
I know....I know :-(
ReplyDeleteBut did you know that Former pro football player Ickey Woods will celebrate almost anything.
DeleteNo way? How sad. I didn't know that. Mostly because I don't follow professional sports and I haven't owned a television in over 23 years.
ReplyDeleteSo whenever someone asks me; "Hey did you see such-and-such last night on t.v.?", the answer is always: "Uhhhhh...no." :-)
But THAT video was funny! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI don't follow pro sports either. But the guys at work keep making jokes about it. I finally saw it and yeah, its pretty funny. 8D
