Protestants have added to and taken from Scripture

Yadayada:

When one really studies the Bible, it becomes a fact that Scripture truly stands alone.
Where does Scripture say that the Scriptures stand alone?

Here is what Scripture says:

Acts 8:30-32

King James Version (KJV)

Which Came First - the Bible or the Church? 30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

Obviously, this man did not feel that he could understand the Scriptures "alone".

Now, here's another. And it is Christ who said it:
Matthew 22:28-30

King James Version (KJV)

28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Now, Jesus was speaking to the Saduccees. The High Priests of Israel, but He said that they had not understood what they read. He repeated this in another place:
John 5:38-40

King James Version (KJV)

38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

Here He says to the Jews, "The Scriptures speak of Me, but you don't understand the Scriptures."

So, please show me where Scripture says that the Scriptures stand alone? I want to see Scripture and verse. Here's another that says that Scripture is not easy to understand:
2 Peter 3:16
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hardto be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Are the Scriptures alone sufficient and authoritative for the Christian life? The Word of God says YES...
Where?

Provide Scripture and verse. And then explain how you correlate that verse with the following which say that the Church is authoritative:

Matthew 18:17

King James Version (KJV)

17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

The Traditions are authoritative:
2 Thessalonians 2:15
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.Hebrews 13:17

King James Version (KJV)

17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

The Roman Catholic Church says 'No',
The Catholic Church holds Tradition, Scripture, and Magisterium as authorities over the people of God, in agreement with Scripture.

The Catholic Church foolishly declaring its flawed UN-SCRIPTURAL, man-made tradition is also the word of God and is equal to Scripture. They are horribly and damnably wrong.
It is you proclaiming an un-Scriptural doctrine over the Word of God therefore it is you who have condemned yourself:
2 Timothy 4:3-4

King James Version (KJV)

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

If they truly wanted to STUDY the Bible they would see clear and overwhelming evidence that Scripture stands alone as the supreme and ONLY authority in all matters of faith.
Show me.

"See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ" (Col. 2:8)
1. That says nothing about Scripture.
2. That speaks of traditions of men such as sola Scriptura.
3. You miss the forest for the trees, because in these very words, St. Paul, a representative of the Church, is teaching the Colossians the faith of Christ.

When Paul spoke of tradition in a positive sense, it always referred to the tradition they had already received from the apostles. There is not one indication from Scripture that new traditions should be followed or developed.   Never.

We don't follow new Traditions. Is the doctrine of the Trinity, new? Show me in Scripture where it says that the Holy Trinity is one God in three divine Persons? You can't. The Catholic Church developed and explained that kernel of truth which was revealed in Scripture. But you hold this truth or you believe a heresy.

The bible, the written word of God is Holy and perfect and complete as it and nothing was or is to be changed or added to it.
Protestants have added to and taken from Scripture, from the time they began to follow Luther.

Sincerely,

De Maria
