First Response by Norbert
Is Scripture the only source of the Word of God? Because Scripture says:You lost me. How do these verses teach there is additional, written Scripture? Scripture is the inspired word of God given to man, not something men conjure up to give to other men. And this is the last time I ask for an answer to the power question.
Hebrews 13:7, Acts 13:46, 1 Thessalonians 2:13
So it would seem that the Word of God is taught by word. Therefore it would seem that Scripture teaches that the Bible is not the sole source of the Word of God.
What say you?
Sincerely,
De Maria

My Response to Norbert
You lost me. How do these verses teach there is additional, written Scripture?
NorbertThey don't. They teach that the Word of God is transmitted by men in verbal as well as written words:
Romans 10:14
King James Version (KJV)
King James Version (KJV)
14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
They teach that it is transmitted by the Church:
Ephesians 3:10
King James Version (KJV)
They teach that it is transmitted by the Church:
Ephesians 3:10
King James Version (KJV)
10To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Quote De Maria:That is no different than someone putting the new words to paper and gluing them in a back of a Bible, and saying, "Here is the Bible."

My second reply to Norbert
That is no different than someone putting the new words to paper and gluing them in a back of a Bible, and saying, "Here is the Bible."On the contrary, Christ established a Church. Commanded the Church to teach His Traditions and the Church, by the authority given by Jesus Christ, teaches the Traditions by word and epistle to this very day:
Matthew 28:19-20
King James Version (KJV)
King James Version (KJV)
19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
2 Thessalonians 2:15
King James Version (KJV)
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
2 Thessalonians 2:15
King James Version (KJV)
15Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Sincerely,
De Maria
