Apparently, some people think that Catholic doctrine teaches us that we are God. But that is false. The Catholic doctrine does not say we are YHWH ELOHIM. The Catholic doctrine says we are one with Christ:
795 Christ and his Church thus together make up the "whole Christ" (Christus totus). The Church is one with Christ. The saints are acutely aware of this unity:....
This same unity is taught in Scripture:
Galatians 2:20
King James Version (KJV)20I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
