Scripture always says that we participate in our salvation.

Again, I'll simply note that you don't post any Scripture but only your anti-Biblical opinion.

Luther:
It's why the RCC is wrong.
Salvation Nation CD set with Dr. Scott Hahn’s Book
The Catholic Church is correct.

You are being very Catholic here,
Thank you.

assuming that Jesus is the HELPER
That is what you have said and continually tried to force into my mouth. However, I will prove that you said it and not me.

You said it here:

Luther said:
RCC calls Jesus Savior.
However, it then goes on and on and on and on about OUR good words, OUR lives, OUR obedence, OUR heart - as what saves. As soon as any Protestant says Christ saves, the Catholic is quick to jump in and remove the sufficiency of that - ADDING that "but we must....."
The end result is that Jesus is not the Savior. Jesus is the HELPER.WE couldn't be saved without Jesus doing His thing, but salvation actually depends on the one you see in the mirror. The RC Denomination exists to help us save ourselves.

Then, you said it again in this post:

Luther said:Thus, the Savior is self.AT MOST, Jesus is the Helper.Self is the Savior.

Luther said:
It's not CHRIST's works, life, heart, obedience, righteousness; it's not the Cross of Jesus.
It's ME. My works, my life, my heart, my obedience, my righteousness, my cross.

Luther said:
It's called synergism. It's a heresy."Christ helps those who help themselves""Christ is the Helper, I'M the Savior."Or as Catholics like to put it, "Jesus opened the door to heaven but we gotta get in by our own efforts."

Therefore it is you who keeps repeating the idea that Jesus is the helper. Not I. Nor any other Catholic. But if you claim that I said it, then quote me.

and that the SAVIOR is the one we each see in the mirror, that God helps the good (only the good need a physician), that God helps those who do well in helping themselves, that Jesus perhaps opened the door to heaven but we gotta get in by ourselves. That it's NOT about Jesus' heart or life or righteousness or obedience or cross, it's about OUR heart, life, works, righteousness, obeidence and cross. Then, with THAT assumption, just ignore Law/Gospel, ignore the context, ignore the audience, and throw everything into one big, messy, pot of stew - stir it up, add your own "the church exists to help folks be their own savior" poison, and come up with
Please come back to reality. Lets discuss what was actually said rather than the straw men you are making up.

the heretical SYNERGISM that you are spouting:
Synergism is not a heresy. Scripture is clear that God wants us to participate in our salvation by doing good:

Romans 2:7
King James Version (KJV)To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
"Jesus is the HELPER, you are the Savior."
I have already proven that I have said nothing of the sort.

Again, here is the Catholic doctrine:
1701 "Christ, . . . in the very revelation of the mystery of the Father and of his love, makes man fully manifest to himself and brings to light his exalted vocation." It is in Christ, "the image of the invisible God," that man has been created "in the image and likeness" of the Creator. It is in Christ, Redeemer and Savior, that the divine image, disfigured in man by the first sin, has been restored to its original beauty and ennobled by the grace of God.

Answer this question: WHO IS THE SAVIOR?
Christ.

There are 4 possible answers -
1. Jesus
2. Each of us, for self
3. Someone else other than Jesus or self
4. Jesus is the Helper but self is the Savior.
You are the one confused, since you claim to save yourself by your faith alone.

The next quote is proof of your confusion. You have given four choices. But Scripture gives another. This is the reason you don't quote Scripture. Scripture always says that we participate in our salvation.

Philippians 2:12
King James Version (KJV)12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Hebrews 5:9
King James Version (KJV)And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

You want to redefine the Word of God and twist it to your own destruction. But you won't take me with you.

If you answer #1, then JESUS is THE Savior. Ergo, you are not. Not 1%, not 50% not 100%. Not partly, not wholly. JESUS has that position. He is active, you are passive IN THIS REGARD (you might be VERY active AS A CHRISTIAN, of course).
Jesus is my Savior. And I am His helper. Just as Scripture says:

1 Corinthians 3:9
King James Version (KJV)For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

If you answer #2, the YOU are THE Savior. Ergo, Jesus is not. Not 1% not 50% not 100%. It's about YOUR heart, YOUR works, YOUR needs, YOUR efforts, YOUR righteousness, YOUR obedience. Jesus has nothin' to do with it (beyond maybe being a good example for you to follow).

If you answer #3, you are not a Christian.
If you answer #4, you are a synergist (a heresy). Jesus TRIED but, poor guy (this is embarrassing)... He failed. He was inadequate, insufficent, just not good enough. Pity Him. But WE CAN HELP HIM! We can keep this from an utter disaster! We can do what He could not, you know, the really important part, the part that actually means we end up saved! Glory be to self!
I have quoted to you the Scriptures. But you keep twisting them and replacing them with the tradition of men you have been taught. The Scripture has been proven true:

Mark 7:9King James Version (KJV)
And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Sincerely,

De Maria
