So, you seem to have something against works

Luther:

Ephesians 2:8–9 (NASB95)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Absolutely true.

Let's look at another Pauline verse:
Philippians 2:12

King James Version (KJV)

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Galatians 2:21
21 “I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.
Correct. Now let's look at another Pauline verse:
Romans 2:13

King James Version (KJV)

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Romans 3:28–30
28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.
29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,
30 since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one.
Very good.

Now, lets look at another Pauline verse:
Romans 2:1-7

King James Version (KJV)

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Now, here's the difference between Protestantism and Catholicism. Protestant teaching does violence to the Word of God. You have to take away or add to the Word of God in order to preach your message.

But Catholicism harmonizes all the Scriptures. There is not one Scripture in all of the Bible which does not fit harmoniously in Catholic Teaching.

So, you seem to have something against works. What do you do with Romans 2:7? How about Romans 2:13? Or Gal 5:6?

Sincerely,

De Maria

Luther:
Sorry but you have done nothing here except prove my point and prove you don't know scripture.
You nullify scripture where it is said salvation is not by works and try to justify it.
You won't answer any of the questions I asked, why? Scared you might learn the truth?

Sincerely,

De Maria
