Can we pray the sinner's prayer?

As Catholics, can we pray the Sinner's prayer?

There’s actually nothing wrong with the “Sinner’s prayer”. As long as one doesn’t combine it with the false doctrines of Sola Fide and Once Saved Always Saved (OSAS).

In fact, we have a Catholic equivalent:

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner!

And, yes, it is in Scripture (Luke 18:13).
