Christians Truth said...My reply: No matter how many times you bring up the same passage, it still does not say the eunuch went to church every Sunday to learn, and it does not say it is a mortal sin not to go.
It is Heb 10 which says that it is a mortal sin to miss the Mass. This verse (Acts 8:30-31) says that Scripture needs to be taught by the Church because there is a danger that the reader may misunderstand.
My reply: I do not make up things about the Catholic Church; however, you do not keep yourself from making things up about me. If what you say about the Catholic Church is true, that the only Tradition they rely on is what is written in the Bible, THEN WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT SAY TO PRAY TO THE DEAD SAINTS?
The Bible says that when the Saints die, they remain alive in Christ. Do you deny this? John 11:26
The Bible says that the Saints are always watching over us. Do you deny this? Hebrews 12:1
The Bible says that the Saints watch and pray concerning the events in heaven. Do you deny this?Revelation 8:3
The Bible says that the Saints, the Body of Christ, are attached to each other, belong to each other and are concerned for each other. Do you deny this? Romans 12:5
The Bible commands all the Saints to intercede for each other. Do you deny this? 1 Timothy 2:1
The Spiritual man discerns the Spiritiual truths here revealed and realizes that God has commanded us to pray to the Saints in heaven for their intercession. As they are our brothers and we who commune with them in the Sacraments walk amongst them in the heavenly plane:
Hebrews 12:22-24
King James Version (KJV)
22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
Sincerely,
De Maria
