Of how much sorer punishment those who have trodden under foot the Son of God

Lutero:
Not too sure what this is about; but I will state that RCC does call Jesus accursed every time they immolate him.
So, what you're saying is that Catholics are not led by the Holy Spirit. Thus insinuating that Catholics are not Christians.

Lol! God bless you. I'm trying to turn over a new leaf and be nice to Protestants. But you are testing me just as Satan tested poor Job and the Serpent tested poor Eve.

That reminds me of a verse:

Jude 1:9
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Now, lets read the statement you presented to Theo:

"CHAPTER II. That the Sacrifice of the Mass is propitiatory both for the living and the dead. And forasmuch as, in this divine sacrifice which is celebrated in the mass, that same Christ is contained and immolated in an unbloody manner, who once offered Himself in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross; the holy Synod teaches, that this sacrifice is truly propritiatory and that by means thereof this is effected, that we obtain mercy, and find grace in seasonable aid, if we draw nigh unto God, contrite and penitent, with a sincere heart and upright faith, with fear and reverence."
Read this part:
And forasmuch as, in this divine sacrifice which is celebrated in the mass, that same Christ is contained and  immolated in an unbloody manner, who once offered Himself in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross;
It is Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit that is present in the Holy Eucharist. We don't put Him there.

In the same way, the Eucharist is the sacrifice of Calvary. We don't sacrifice Jesus. He was sacrificed by the Jews and the Romans on Calvary. We participate in that self same sacrifice which occurred 2000 years ago by immolating (offering the sacrifice in the APPEARANCE OF Bread and Wine) in remembrance of Christ.

But Scripture is very clear as to who calls Jesus accursed:

Hebrews 10:25-31
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Read verse 29. You can see that it is talking about the Eucharist. Those who neglect to partake of the Eucharist have TROD UNDER FOOT our Lord Jesus Christ and have counted the Blood of the Covenant as an unholy thing.

Those who neglect the Eucharist are calling Jesus accursed.

Sincerely,

De Maria

  1. LOL!! This is hilarious!

We Catholics follow what Jesus, Himself told the Apostles to do and the Apostles have passed it on (Sacred Tradition). Yet protest-ants claim we "call" Jesus accursed when we immolate Him even though Jesus told us to?

    Yeah....riiiiight.

Anti-Catholic protest-ants think they can make Christ in their own image by interpreting Scripture the way they want to, thus making a false image of Jesus that is contradictory to both Sacred Tradition and Scripture. It's the classic revelation of the "Protest-ant Trinity", the "Me, Myself, and My Jesus" mentality.

God Bless you De Maria! You sure are up against some hard heads.
    Keep up the great work
