The St. Paul Center's Journey Through Scripture parish Bible study, Genesis to Jesus, is being presented in Houston, TX. Dear Friend in Christ, Genesis to Jesus, the foundational study of the St. Paul Center's Journey Through Scripture parish-based Bible study programs is being presented at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Houston, Texas in 12 sessions beginning: - Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014 from 10 AM to noon (Spanish) - Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014 from 7 - 9 PM (English) - Thursday, September 4th from 10 AM to noon (English) Journey Through Scripture is a dynamic, parish-based Bible study series incorporating live presentation, multimedia, small group discussion and some outside reading.  It’s a way for ordinary Catholics to grow in their knowledge of the Scriptures and deepen their understanding of the riches of the Catholic faith. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI regularly quoted St. Jerome's famous dictum that ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ. If you've ever wondered what the Bible is all about but didn't know where to start, "Genesis to Jesus" is for you. It looks at all of the covenants that God made with his people through figures such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and David. And it shows how each of these covenants points forward to, and is fulfilled by, Christ and his Church. Genesis to Jesus will enrich your understanding and love of God's Word.
