Pro-Life message

January 17, 2016

I want to share a special video message with you as we prepare to march this week in cities from coast to coast.  Go to https://youtu.be/6ECPaC5UMEk to view it.  I hope it will be an encouragement to all pro-lifers whether they are new to the movement or have been in the movement for many years.  Please share this video with your lists and on your social media accounts.
I would also encourage you to watch the Democratic Presidential Primary Debate tonight, January 17 and encourage others to as well. It’s important to watch these to hear what the candidates are actually saying so we are better equipped to inform others about how extreme their positions are.  The debate will air on NBC at 9pm ET.
I would be interested to know what you think of the candidates after the debate.  You can send me a message on the form at the top of PoliticalResponsibility.com.  On that form you can also let me know what kind of elections activities you are involved in or how we may help you become more involved.
Blessings,

Priests for life - National Prayer Service

January 29, 2015

It was the day of the March for Life in Washington, DC. The historic Constitution Hall was the gathering place for clergy and believers from dozens of denominations: Lutheran bishops, Anglican bishops, Catholic priests, Baptist pastors, Pentecostal ministers, and many more.

The event was the National Prayer Service, the premier pro-life prayer event surrounding the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade.

I was privileged to deliver the sermon. Many told me it was my best so far. I gave some key principles to anchor our pro-life activism in the coming year.

Please watch it below and pass it along!

And let me know what you think!

Help Pass the Bill to Protect Children in the Womb After 20 Weeks!

January 16, 2015
This Thursday, January 22, marks the 42nd year since Roe vs Wade ushered in abortion on demand in the United States.
And it is the day of the March for Life.
On that very day, the US House of Representatives
Will vote on a bill to protect children in the womb from painful dismemberment abortions.
Would you take a moment today to urge your Representative to vote for this bill?
I explain below how to do that.
We also ask you to urge your Representative to be a co-sponsor of the bill. And today is, for all practical purposes, the last opportunity to have them do that.
I believe that the bill, called the "Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act" (H.R. 36) is the most significant piece of pro-life legislation to be introduced so far on the federal level.
We have every reason to expect that we will win this vote. For the House to pass this bill will send shock waves around the world, encouraging pro-life people and worrying abortion supporters.
News will circle the globe that the United States Congress has taken a step to stop abortions after the baby reaches 20 weeks.
This is a major step away from the unrestricted abortion policy of Roe vs. Wadeand the out of control practices of the abortion industry!
And, of course, it is a major step toward ending all abortion.
Obviously, that is our ultimate goal, and we will reach it. But in order to stop a runaway train, you first have to slow it down. And this bill will do that.
The reason this bill draws the line at 20 weeks of fetal development is because that is the point at which scientific research is strongest that the child is able to feel pain.
The same kind of legislation has already been enacted in about ten states, and enjoys the support of a majority of Americans.
You can help advance this legislation with a simple phone call.
And please forward this email to as many other people as you can!
Sincerely,
Fr. Frank Pavone

Message from Father Pavone

Please take a moment and watch the clip below before doing anything else. It just takes a couple of minutes!
Now wouldn't you want to start your day with a rousing time of prayer and praise like that?
Well, you can. What you saw was from the interdenominational National Prayer Service held on the morning of the March for Life!

And I would like you to join me for this year's service, if you can come to Washington, on Thursday morning, January 22, at Constitution Hall, from 8:30 to 10:30am. (I will offer a mass there at 7:30).

For over 20 years, I have been privileged to work with my colleagues Rev. Rob Schenck and Fr. Paul Schenck and others to organize this annual event of prayer that brings together clergy and believers from dozens of denominations.

It is called the Annual Memorial for the Preborn and Their Mothers and Fathers. We all stand together and express our solidarity with the children in the womb who are threatened by abortion and with the families so wounded by abortion.

By joining us and bringing your family and groups and parishes and schools, not only will you have an intense experience of prayer and Christian Unity, but it will be an educational experience unlike anything you can have very often. When would so many clergy of so many denominations be together, united in a firm purpose of changing our nation's policy on such a fundamental issue?

So please come, and even if you yourself are not able to be in Washington DC, please spread the word about this on your social media, emails, and in any other way you can. The details, including social media links, are atwww.NationalPrayerService.com.

Let's fill Constitution Hall, and show our nation that we all stand together for life!

Sincerely,
Fr. Frank Pavone
National Director, Priests for Life

PS -- By the way, I also invite you to connect with me at our prayer vigil at Planned Parenthood, and at the Supreme Court for our Silent No More gathering! See details of what we're doing next week in Washington -- and also at the West Coast Walk for Life -- at www.PriestsForLife.org/MarchForLife
